The extruded fish feed production line purchased by Egypt Aquatic Group from our factory at the beginning of the year was officially put into production last month after preliminary installation and commissioning. This production line is designed for tilapia farming in the Nile Delta. It produces 5 tons of puffed fish feed per day, which will provide a stable feed supply for local aquaculture and become another benchmark case of Chinese feed equipment in the North African market. ​

The production line is customized for the characteristics of Egyptian aquaculture. The local tilapia farming density is high, and strict requirements are placed on the nutrient retention and stability of the feed in water. The twin-screw extruder at the core of the production line can control the maturity of the feed to more than 90%, making the protein easier for fish to absorb. After testing, the survival rate of tilapia increased by 12%. At the same time, the stability of the puffed feed in water is more than 4 hours, which is 2 hours longer than the original local feed, reducing water pollution. ​

Egypt's puffed fish feed production line successfully put into production

Taking into account the climate and raw material conditions in Egypt, the production line has made a number of optimizations. The drying system adopts high-temperature rapid drying technology to adapt to the local dry climate, and stably controls the moisture content of the feed within 10% to avoid mildew; the raw material pretreatment stage adds an impurity removal device, which can effectively deal with the sand and gravel that may be mixed in the local raw materials and reduce equipment wear. During the trial production, the production line ran continuously for 72 hours without failure, and the product qualification rate reached 99%. ​

The customer is very satisfied with the efficiency and product quality of the fish feed production line. Its person in charge said that before the production line was put into operation, they needed to import extruded feed from Europe, which was costly and unstable in supply. Now the cost of self-produced feed has been reduced by US$30 per ton, and the formula can be adjusted according to the breeding stage, such as increasing the protein content to 38% for young fish. The feed currently produced has been supplied to 20 surrounding farms, and the growth rate of tilapia has accelerated, and the farmers have given good feedback. ​

From the shipping of equipment to the on-site installation, our team followed up the whole process. Arabic operation manuals and video training were provided for local operators; in order to deal with possible equipment problems, a 724-hour remote technical support channel was established.
